Minister of State for Housing and Works Barrister Usman Ibrahim has directed the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) to expedite development work in Sector G-14.

The minister issued orders to this effect on receiving complaints from the allottees who have been waiting to get possession of their plots for the last 10 years. The complainants were of the view that the development work had been started in sectors G-14/2 and G-14/3 but the pace of work was very slow.

A number of allottees have expressed concerns over delay in start of survey of houses in Sector G-14/1 and as a result the development activity there was yet to start.

The majority of allottees include retired federal government employees and delay in development work had forced them to live in rented houses.

The allottees have appealed to the Minister of State for Housing and Works Usman Ibrahim and Federal Secretary Housing Nasar Hayat to seek report from the director and deputy director technical and the managing director of the National Construction on slow pace of work. They also requested the chief commissioner, Islamabad, to provide the required revenue staff to the FGEHF to start survey in Sector G-14/1.
