Business as usual

This letter refers to the news report ‘Group of ‘Well-wishers of Pakistan’ in the making to resolve ‘rift between IK, establishment’ (April 20, 2024). In my view, these so-called well-wishers are actually keeping the status quo intact and that is a disservice to democracy in Pakistan. They should rather help ensure that politics is left to the politicians. The well-wishers should also convince the PTI leader to behave like a true statesman and shun the politics of populism and anarchy. What he is doing while in jail is feeding anarchism which is not benefitting the country.
