LAHORE: Prominent UAE-based Pakistani and Special Adviser to Nawaz Sharif on International Relations & Overseas Pakistanis Javed Malik called on the former prime minister and PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind, says a press release.

Speaking on the occasion, Nawaz Sharif said that PML-N believed in promoting positive relations internationally and regards the overseas Pakistanis as an asset for Pakistan who need to be encouraged and given opportunities to work for nation building. The PML-N president directed the adviser to initiate a series of initiatives to reach out to the overseas Pakistanis from the PML-N platform.

Javed Malik thanked the PML-N president for reposing his trust in him, and gave detailed presentation on international relations and overseas Pakistanis strategy, outlining his plans for actively engaging with individuals and organisations around the world in an effort to positively highlight the image of the country. He paid rich tribute to the visionary leadership of Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and said, “Pakistan needs a dynamic and experienced leader like Nawaz Sharif”.

Javed Malik is a well-known media person and entrepreneur based in London and the UAE and has been actively engaged in international relations and diplomacy. He has been an Executive Director of the World Forum in addition to serving as Pakistan’s Ambassador at large, a year ago.

Overseas Pakistanis were recently given rights to vote and are expected to play a major role in the next elections and therefore this timely move by the PML-N president has been seen as a positive step among the overseas Pakistanis who are traditionally considered pro-Nawaz Sharif.
