Lionel Messi wins this honour, Cristiano Ronaldo gets rejected

Bayern Munich’s star footballer, Jamal Musiala, has shared his thoughts on the ultimate Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi GOAT debate, igniting fuel among their hordes of fans, Sportskeeda reported.

German athlete Musiala was recently asked who he thinks is the better player between the Al Nassr star and the Inter Miami footballer.

He said: "For me, the GOAT has to be Leo Messi."

Musiala is a huge Messi fan. He wears the same jersey number as his favourite footballer while playing for the national team of Germany.

During an interview with RTL Sports, he said: “Yes, I think the number 10 has been a dream for me since I was a little kid, whenever I watched Messi or something like that. But I won’t let it get to my head. It feels really special to be able to wear the #10. It was a joy to watch them play football … despite all my appreciation for Cristiano, I am in Messi’s camp.”

Both the Portugal and Argentina stars are highly regarded as one of the best players to grace the football world. They have won almost every title at both the club and international level.

The 21-year-old footballer has appeared in 36 games across all competitions for the Bavarians this season with 12 goals and seven assists.
