MIRANSHAH: Four people were killed and two others sustained injuries in a US drone attack in North Waziristan on Wednesday, tribal sources said.

 

The sources said the drone fired two missiles and pounded a house in the Dattakhel village in Miranshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan. Local residents said one missile did not explode and was taken away by the villagers. The second missile damaged the house comprising two rooms. Local villagers, after hectic efforts, pulled out bodies of the four slain men and two injured from the debris of the house. The bodies were damaged beyond recognition. The injured were taken to a local hospital where their condition was said to be stable.The drone attacks had stopped for some time after relations between Pakistan and United States became strained.
