PEMRA amendments bill tabled in National Assembly |

ISLAMABAD: A Bill to amend the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Ordinance, was tabled in the National Assembly here on Friday.
The Bill - The Pakistan Electronic Media RegulatoryAuthority (Amendment) Bill, 2008 - was introduced by FederalMinister for Information and Broadcasting Ms. Sherry Rehman.
Sherry Rahman tabled the bill in the house today to undo media curbs imposed under a state of emergency in last November.
The house later opened debate over the power crisis in the country for half an hour, after which it was adjourned till Monday. |
