MIRAMSHAH: Three persons were killed in a drone attack as the US spy planes after a brief break have again started missile strikes in North Waziristan.

Tribal sources said the drone fired four missiles as it targeted a moving car at Qutabkhel village near Miramshah, the main town of North Waziristan, on Tuesday. Three persons travelling in the car reportedly died on the spot and their bodies were damaged beyond recognition.

There was no information about the identity of the slain men, but Qutabkhel villagers claimed they were local tribesmen and were on their way to the village from Miramshah.

Tribal sources said the CIA-operated spy planes disappeared for some time in the past few weeks due to unknown reasons, but suddenly reappeared on Tuesday and launched the attack.
