Kyle Massey urges people to ‘step up’ after ‘Quiet on Set’ revelations
Kyle Massey and his elder brother Christopher knew Drake Bell and other involved
Kyle Massey broke his silence on the disturbing allegations that were revealed in the docuseries, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
The That’s So Raven alum, 32, said that people need to step up and protect the kids in the industry during his appearance on Cheryl Burke’s Sex, Lies and Spray Tans podcast.
Kyle, who starred in the hit Disney Channel shows That’s So Raven and Cory in the House, also had his older brother Christopher, 34, in the business, who starred in the Nickelodeon hit Zoey 101.
He shared that he knew Drake Bell “in passing” and “a lot” of people from the docuseries.
Bell, 37, revealed in the series he endured sexual abuse as a child actor under his former dialogue coach Brian Peck.
“I think it's just unfortunate,” explained Kyle. “I think that a lot of people need to step up and protect these kids because a set of a children’s show should always be the safest place that those kids can go.”
Kyle revealed that his situation was a “blessing” since his parents accompanied him and his brother everywhere.
He added, “Honestly, I just... I’m praying for everybody that's involved.”
