'NCIS: Origins' reunites Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly after decade
Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly have been key players in 'NCIS'
In NCIS: Origins, Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Michael Weatherly portraying Tony DiNozzo were the main force in the police crime drama.
Now, both NCIS characters are returning for the first time in a decade, as the pair appeared together for 13 seasons of the show.
The last time both characters shared the screen was the season 13 finale of NCIS.
According to Variety, the reunion will take place in the forthcoming episode of NCIS: Origins, where Gibbs will return to the NCIS head office, situated in Washington, D.C., after being shot by unknown attackers.
He seeks an instance from Tony, who has now become the head of the agency.
In addition, Weatherly is set to return to the original show, NCIS, for its 24th season, which airs October 6.
It is worth noting that NCIS: Origins is a prequel series which follows a younger Gibbs; Austin Stowell portrayed it and set it in the early 1990s.
Harmon, on the other hand, narrates the show and also appears as an older, present-day Gibbs, connecting the past to the present.
