Driving in Karachi has become a hazardous and frustrating experience. The disregard for traffic rules and courtesy on our roads is alarming and warrants attention. Every day, we witness drivers speeding, tailgating, and recklessly changing lanes without signaling. Pedestrians and cyclists are often forced to scramble for safety as motorists ignore crosswalks and bike lanes.
The proliferation of distracted driving, courtesy of cell phones, only exacerbates the problem. I implore our city's authorities to take measures to address this issue. Stricter enforcement of traffic laws, increased public awareness campaigns, and investments in road infrastructure would go a long way in improving road safety.
