Describing the incident of handing over eight children to the Edhi Foundation as a ‘conspiracy’ against the elected PPP government, Sindh Law Minister, Ayaz Soomro, said that it was an illegal act and was in violation of the ‘Child Act’.
Soomro said that the government would take action against those responsible.
The Sindh law minister believed that whenever the elected government came into power, vested interests hatched conspiracies to destabilise the system.
According to officials, the three mothers who handed over their children to Edhi on Tuesday, came back to take their children home on Wednesday.
According to Bilquees Edhi, the mothers couldn’t control their emotions and started crying after seeing their children in the Edhi centre.
SINDH ASSEMBLY: The Law Minister announced that the government has convened a session of the Sindh Assembly on November 24 for legislation and other matters. He said that the assembly had completed 58 days out of 70 required for one calendar year.
