Barack Hussein Obama II has been elected as 44th president of the US with a landslide victory. Hats off to American democracy. First it was Arnold Schwarzenegger, an immigrant from Austria, who was elected as governor of California, and now the son of a Kenyan father has been elected to the highest office of the US, or perhaps it would be more appropriate to call it the highest office of the world.
The African-American community has suffered immensely through the centuries. They endured slavery and racism for generations. And in this context, Barack Obama's victory is a triumph of the ideals of democracy. This change might help somewhat improve America's tarnished image in the eyes of the world.

While conceding defeat, Sen. John McCain said of President-elect Barack Obama: "He was my opponent and now he is my president". The American people deserve their democracy and this is what makes them the greatest nation in the world. Compare this with what happens in our beloved homeland. Why can't we posses this grace and dignity?

After exterminating Saddam Hussain, George Bush and his cronies ensured (purely due to their stupid mistakes) that a Hussein now occupies the White House.

Obama's victory is a most welcome development. Hopefully now the domination by whites in America will come to an end and maybe the world will see love and peace.
