The worsening crime situation in Karachi, the business capital of the country, is a great embarrassment for the people. The failure of those who have ruled Sindh for the past decade or so can longer be denied. From my perspective, the local police appear to be poorly trained and unprofessional and seem like they have been appointed more for their political or personal loyalty as opposed to their competence.
A cleanup operation is the need of the hour but who will bell the cat? The deteriorating law and order situation in the city will have a bad impact on the entire nation’s economic goals.
