BANNU: A suicide bomber set off a blast in Bannu that killed at least 16 people including four policemen and three women on Monday, police said. Thirty-one persons were wounded in the blast at Afsar Chowk in Bannu.
Suicide attacker in a rickshaw blown himself up at bus stop in Bannu. The blast killed 16 persons and wounded 31 others.
Four policemen i.e. Havaldar Gul Aslam, constables Zakran, Enayatullah and Adam Khan were among the dead. The rickshaw driver and other civilians were also killed in the deadly incident. Some deceased have been identified as Gul Sher Khan, Muhammad Riaz, Noor Ali and schoolteacher Kiran.
According to the eyewitnesses’ three schoolteachers and college students were also among the deceased yet to be identified.
The wounded persons were transferred to Bannu district hospital, while seriously injured persons have been sent to Peshawar. |
