We have over 10 million unemployed youth who must be equipped with the technical skills required for employment. This is a clear indication that our education system needs a radical overhaul. In order to address the issue effectively, we need to adopt a target-oriented and need-based model to transform our education system right from the top to bottom. This will require an extensive market survey to establish the exact requirements of various disciplines, the induction of students with the right aptitude, qualified teachers, syllabi, and modern facilities such as electronic laboratories and a robust infrastructure.
Simply producing scholars without a clear purpose or direction will not make significant progress in this age of technological advancements. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and our future generations to revise and revitalise our education system.

The education system in Pakistan faces significant challenges that must be addressed urgently. Access to education remains a pressing issue, particularly in rural areas where many children, especially girls, are unable to attend school due to various barriers. Additionally, the quality of education is often compromised by outdated curriculum, lack of infrastructure, and underqualified teachers.
There is a crucial need for increased investment in education, including improvements in facilities, curriculum reform, and better training for teachers. Furthermore, promoting technical and vocational education can provide alternative pathways for students and contribute to addressing unemployment and skill shortages in the country.
