ISLAMABAD: The police started baton charging and tear gas shelling on Lal Mosque poetasters on Friday.

The police also advised the newsmen to leave Lal Mosque premises to avoid any untoward incident.

The police started baton charging and tear gas shelling after asked the protesters to leave Lal Mosque premises as the hundreds of the protesters surrounded the Lal mosque after the Friday prayer and changed slogans against the government for launching Lal mosque operation.
