HANGU: The passing-out parade of recruits 893 including 30 females was held at the Police Training College (PTC) here on Monday.


DIG, Hangu, Syed Imtiaz Shah, reviewed the parade as the chief guest and expressed satisfaction at the training of the recruits. Addressing the ceremony, he hoped the recruits would work hard to further improve the image of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. He said the police had rendered unprecedented sacrifices in the war against terror.


He also distributed shields among the recruits for better performance and announced Rs10,000 cash prize for the Band Master Nazar Masih.Administrator of PTC Sharif Khan said the graduates included upper, lower and intermediate level recruits. He said the Police Training Centre was established in 1935 and was upgraded to the level of school in 1938 and given the status of college in 1991. He said that personnel of the Islamabad Police, Gilgit-Baltistan, FIA, ANF and Motorway Police were getting training at the PTC Hangu.
