KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has reappointed Rasheed Janmuhammad as chairman of the Pakistan Shippers' Council (PSC) for the fiscal year 2024-25, recognising his pivotal role in enhancing the country's maritime sector.
Janmuhammad, a seasoned leader with multiple tenures as PSC chairman, is celebrated for pioneering the Public-Private partnership that established the National Trade and Transport Facilitation Committee (NTTFC). His efforts with NTTFC have notably streamlined trade processes, introducing the 'Goods Declaration' (GD) system that replaced cumbersome paperwork with a single online document, expediting consignment clearances.
Under his guidance, the PSC has fostered harmonious ties with key maritime stakeholders, including shipping lines, freight forwarders, and ship agents.
