Justice Wajihuddin, others arrested, taken to an unknown location |

ISLAMABAD: The capital police Wednesday arrested lawyers and members of civil society including the former presidential candidate, Justice (Retd.) Wajihuddin Ahmed and Advocate Athar Min-Allah here from Judges Colony and took them to an unknown location.
The administration intercepted the above persons by erecting barricades and deploying heavy security forces on the way leading to the Chief Justice House and later arrested them in front of an area hotel.
According to details, after addressing a hunger / strike camp in F-8 Markaz, Islamabad, Justice (Retd.) Wajihuddin along with lawyers and members of civil society marched on the way leading to the Chief Justice House where Duty Magistrate intercepted them and warned not to come any further as all roads leading to CJ House were blocked in view of security.
Justice (Retd.) Wajihuddin and others left the area shortly after staging a protest. But, later they were apprehended near a local hotel and shifted to an unknown location. |
