I am writing in sheer desperation. I do not know how to record my protest regarding the non-provision of gas in Rawalpindi. I am not talking about gas loadshedding. We are simply out of gas. There is no gas to cook with, what to talk about heaters, geysers and car cylinders.
We, the people of Rawalpindi, like everyone else, pay taxes. Then, why are we being neglected? Also, when there is no gas, why are we receiving gas bills as if we are running factories in our houses? In this situation, what option do we have? Take to the streets? And if we see elsewhere we see billions of rupees being spent on road projects like motorway, metros, Orange Line Train, etc. Somebody needs to tell the government that people not only need roads and buses, they also need food, shelter, electricity, gas, security, jobs, quality education and healthcare. The authorities concerned are requested to make a timetable for the provision of gas. At least give us enough gas in the morning and evening so that we can cook a meal for ourselves.
