Two Afghans held in Charsadda
BKU attack
CHARSADDA: The security forces and police arrested three suspects including two Afghan nationals in separate actions in the district, official sources said on Saturday. They said the arrests were made during a joint search operation launched by the personnel of the security forces and the police in the aftermath of the attack on the Bacha Khan University. They said the law-enforcers conducted operations in Mandani area and in the limits of the City Police Station and made the arrests.
“One of the suspects arrested in Mandani area was identified as Qari Shakeel while the identity of the Afghan nationals could not be ascertained,” the sources added. The sources said the suspects had been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the police filed cases against the administration of four educational institutions and an assistant director at the office of National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) for not following the standard operation procedures (SOPs) for security.
