Wasa upgrades billing system

LAHORE : The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has upgraded its billing system and now its consumers can also get their bills through an android application.

Wasa Managing Director Syed Zahid Aziz said this while talking to the media here on Thursday. He said that Wasa had already outsourced its billing distribution system and the company concerned had developed an android application through which the consumers could download their bill on smart phones and also pay it through the phone banking. He said that smartphones would be given to the Wasa bill distributors for distribution of bills. In this way, when the bill is distributed from the smartphone, the billing record will be entered in the GIS system and the complaints of consumers regarding not receiving the bill will also be eliminated. The Wasa MD said that the present government had supported Wasa for adopting modern and smart solutions and appreciated the agency for its IT reforms in revenue, operations and other fields.
