PESHAWAR: Three district police officers (DPOs) are being considered for posting as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Peshawar to replace Mian Saeed Ahmad.
The incumbent SSP Operations is leaving for mid-career management course on January 7.
Mian Saeed effectively headed the operations of the capital city police for over a year. The law and order situation improved in the city during his stint.
A source said that District Police Officer Chitral, Abbas Majeed Marwat was a strong contender for the position.
The two other officers whose names are seriously being considered for posting as SSP Operations include DPO Kohat, Sohaib Ashraf and DPO Swabi, Javed Iqbal. The three officers are said to have headed their respective districts well.
