It has been almost two weeks since residents of some sectors of North Karachi are deprived of water. As a result, a large number of residents are compelled to buy water tankers. On the other hand, those who cannot afford to pay for water have to stand in long queues at the Khawaja Ajmer Nagri pumping station. Water is one of the basic needs. Its shortage, especially in summer, creates many problems for people.
The authorities concerned are requested to look into this matter and ensure the supply of water on an urgent basis so that residents can be pulled out of their miseries. It is hoped that the authorities will take timely steps to deal with the city’s water crisis which has taken a worse turn over the few years.
