Traffic police assist govt in encroachments removal
LAHORE:Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Muntazer Mahdi has said that City Traffic Police are putting in its best efforts for smooth vehicular traffic.
Speaking at a meeting at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the CTO said that Traffic Police Department was providing assistance to the government in removal of encroachments which was the biggest hurdle to traffic flow. The CTO said that licensing structure was being changed while the department was creating awareness about traffic rules and regulations among the youths. He said that Pakistan was one of those countries where accidents ratio was very high.
LCCI President Mian Tariq Misbah said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue to provide maximum help to the traffic police in the larger interests of the trade and industry.
