PM House denies report about US envoy’s meeting with Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister House on Saturday has emphatically denied a media report about the meeting of a United States envoy with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in London regarding the killings in California, where 14 people were killed in a shooting incident in a centre for disabled last month. In a brief statement, the PM House has maintained that the news item aired in a section of the media regarding the meeting of the special US envoy with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in London in the context of California tragedy is baseless and incorrect. It was reported a day earlier from London in the media that an unnamed envoy of US President Barrack Obama had a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to convey message of his president about the involvement of Tashfeen Malik who hails from Pakistan and reportedly proof pertaining to her association with the cleric of the Lal mosque of Islamabad handed him over. Interestingly, the news item appeared on the day when the prime minister had already arrived Islamabad. In the meanwhile cleric in question has also denied the story on Saturday.
