LAHORE
Factory Area special police team claimed to have arrested four members of Sajjad alias Shada robbers gang on Monday.
The arrested accused persons were identified as Sajjad alias Shada, Sunny Maseeh, Abbass and Mushtaq. The police team raided a hideout on a tip-off, arrested the accused persons and recovered cash worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, 13 mobile phones, three pistols and 25 bullets from their custody.
Police said that 10 cases had been traced against the accused persons during initial investigation, while more confessions were expected. They have been handed over to investigation police. SP Cantt, Imtiaz Sarwar announced commendation certificates for the special police team.
FIRE: Valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were burnt in an incident of fire in an electronics shop at Hall Road in the Qila Gujjar Singh police limits on Monday. Fire erupted due to a short-circuit. Suddenly, it spread and engulfed valuables in the shop. The local people tried to control fire but to no use. On which, they informed rescue teams.
