BAHAWALPUR: Hundreds of intermediate part-1 girl students from different colleges staged a demonstration against the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bahawalpur, at DCO Office Chowk on Thursday.
They alleged that answer sheets were wrongly marked and demanded their remarking. Later, the protesting girls staged a sit-in outside the Commissioner Office for remarking of their answer sheets. On the intervention of City AC Rao Tasleem Akhtar and BISE Controller Examinations Prof Nasir Jamil, the students ended their protest and started negotiation with them to resolve the issue.
ADDITIONAL RING ROAD Additional ring road will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.7 billion to cope with increasing traffic on Bahawalpur roads, said Development Director Syed Wajid Ali Shah on Thursday.
He said that the additional ring road portion from Kali Pulley to the Bahawalpur Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Oncology (BINO) would be a dual carriageway and the plan had been finalised.
