GUJRANWALA: A civil court bailiff Thursday set a citizen free after getting him recovered from illegal custody of the Garjakh police.
Zareena filed an application to the court that the Garjakh police had arrested her husband Asif illegally.
Upon her request, the court deputed a bailiff that recovered her husband from the Garjakh police station.
The court summoned the SHO with the relevant record today (Friday).
TWO GET LIFE IMPRISONMENT: Two convicts were awarded life imprisonment in different cases on Thursday.
Session Judge Uabib Ullah Amir awarded life imprisonment to Muhammad Ilayas in a murder case as he had gunned down his uncle in 2011.
While Session Judge Khalid Bhatti awarded life sentence to convict Saqib in a rape case as he kidnapped and raped a girl in 2014 in the area of Satellite Town police. The convict was also awarded one year imprisonment for making nude photos of the girl.
ATC RECORDS STATEMENTS: The Anti-terrorism court continued the hearing of the Daska lawyers’ killing case in the central jail Gujranwala and recorded statements of witnesses.
Judge Imtiaz Ahmed adjourned the hearing until October 10.
