Relief distribution complicated: PPPP
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) Wednesday termed the speech of Prime Minister Imran Khan ‘confused’ saying he was only creating confusion over the distribution of relief.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan has made the process of distribution of relief very complicated,” said the PPPP Secretary Information Dr Nafisa Shah in reaction to the prime minister’s speech.
She said most of the people could not understand the SMS and how it worked.
“Asking them 15 questions on SMS amounts to refusing them the relief. Imran Khan comes out on TV every other day and promise this relief but despite that over a month has passed not a single penny is sent to any poor,” she said.
She reminded that during the PPP’s 2008-2013 government, the then president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari had looked after 3 million locally displaced people for months and the same was done in case of flood affected people.
“All of the victims of terror and flood were rehabilitated. Imran Khan has done nothing but created confusion with his lockdown narrative,” Shah said.
