NBF book fair put off
Islamabad : The National Book Foundation (NBF) has postponed the Annual Book Fair until further orders over the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.
The new dates for the event will be announced thereafter.
The festival is held every year to promote book reading among people.
Authors, writers, poets and other literary persons attend sessions, while books are sold at special discounts.
Also, all other activities of the NBF will also remain suspended.
With head office in Islamabad, regional offices at every provincial headquarters and branch offices and bookshops in different parts of the country, the National Book Foundation, a statutory corporation created through an Act of the Parliament, is tasked with making books available to the people at affordable prices.
