Calligraphic paintings
Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Sahibzada Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah inaugurated the Islamic calligraphic paintings exhibition at the Nairang Galleries, Jail Road, on Thursday evening.
The exhibition hosted by Nayyar Ali Dada, a world-renowned architect and a great patron of art and culture in the country, houses calligraphic creations by young artist Abdul Samad, comprising Quranic verses. The works speak of the artistic expertise and highly skilled talent of Abdul Samad. The exhibition was attended by a large number of artists, art students and art lovers.
Seminar: The two-day international seminar “Ghalib and Faiz; Two Times, One Language” organised by Lahore College for Women University in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) concluded at the university here on Thursday. Noted researchers presented their research articles. The seminar was followed by a mushaira. Acclaimed poet Amjad Islam Amjad presided over the event.
