Two ‘terrorists’ held in Hangu
HANGU: The police arrested two terrorists in Turi Ghunid area in the limits of Doaba Police Station on Tuesday, a senior official said.
Speaking to media, District Police Officer (DPO) Shahid Ahmed Khan said that acting on a tip-off, the police party headed by the incharge of Doaba Police Station, Mujahid Hussain, established a ‘nakabandi’ on the main road in Turi Ghundi area.
He said a vehicle was stopped for search in which the terrorists identified as Shahid Gul and Jalaluddin were traveling. The police arrested terrorists were wanted to the law-enforcement agencies in murder, attempted-murder, attack on police and government installations, they said, adding, they had affiliation with a banned outfit. The DPO said that they were also involved in the murder of a cop in Swabi district. The Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Zain Khan Jadoon, was also present on the occasion.
