A helping hand
The residents of Gorakh Hill have been living without basic facilities, including health and education since the creation of the country. Residents complain that the Sindh government has provided facilities for tourists but long-term residents are deprived of all basic rights.
Recently, a social activist, G M Baloch, from Karachi, has established a tented school in Gorakh Hill. More than 20 students are taught by G M Baloch in his tented school. The education is 100 percent free. Books, copies, pens and pencils are distributed freely among the poor children. Mr Baloch has been promoting sports facilities and has formed football and cricket teams. The children have to play football barefooted and make goalposts using wood and nets. The cricket team is also facing similar problems. We all should come forward to help Mr Baloch.
