10 robbers arrested

Operations and Investigations Police of Civil Lines Division claimed to have arrested 10 members of four robbers gangs and recovered two cars, seven motorcycles, 13 mobile phones, four bicycles, one television set, Rs40,000 cash, seven pistols and 38 bullets from their custody.This was disclosed by SP Operations, Haroon Rasheed and SP Investigations, Faisal Mukhtar during a joint press conference at Mughalpura Police Station on Monday. The arrested robbers were identified as Mansoor alias Helicoptor, Amir, Nauman alias Naumi, Arif alias Mitha, Zahid Hamid, Amir Shahzad, Muhammad Hanif, Amir Sohail, Allah Ditta and Arsalan Ali. The accused persons were arrested by special police teams. The accused persons have confessed to having committed 27 robbery incidents. CCPO Lahore, Capt (r) Amin Wains and DIG Operations, Dr Haider Ashraf announced cash prize and commendation certificates for the special police teams. —Correspondent
