No let-up in looting spree in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Robbers deprived the locals of cash, cellphones and valuables in several strikes in different areas of Gujranwala on Thursday.
Three dacoits snatched Rs 9,000 and a new motorcycle from Naveed at Kot Shah Muhammad in Sohdra police station limits.
In the limits of Tatley police station two gunmen snatched Rs 20,000 and a mobile phone from Mansoor near mini stadium.
Three dacoits snatched Rs 12,000 and two cellphones from Khaqan.
Four thieves took away two goats of Rehmat.
Faraz was deprived of his motorcycle No GPU-9901 by two dacoits in Wahndo police station limits.
Thieves stole new motorcycle of Rizwan from outside the Amir centre in Shama Colony, new motorcycle of Abdul Haseeb, new motorcycle of Hashim from Star Travel in Sabzi Mandi police station jurisdiction, new motorcycle of Latif from outside the Rana house Kamoke, in City Wazirabad police limit, motorcycle No STA-5412 of Nawza from Gala Bakar Wala, motorcycle No LES-8111 of Ahmed from outside the Attock Petroleum Baghbanpura in the Peoples Colony.
Thieves took away Rs 15,000, three mobile phones and other valuables from the house of Khadam Hussain.
ATTACKER SHOT DEAD: An attacker who came to kill a man was shot dead in Kot Ishaq on Thursday.
According to police, two attackers knocked at the door of Bashir of Kot Ishaq and asked him whereabouts of some people. Bashir told them that he had no information. To hear this one attacker shot at Bashir’s nephew Rizwan and injured him.
Meanwhile, other family members of Bashir overpowered the attackers and shot one of them dead while the other managed to escape.
