The logical end

This refers to the article, ‘The march towards the logical end’ (July 13, page 4). The fact is that both the ruling party and the opposition are dragging their feet on the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP). The self-serving political nexus and vested interests are creating all sorts of hurdles in the way – or the ‘march’ – of the Rangers to clean our society of terrorism, extortion, corruption, mafias, money laundering and related financial crimes. If all these good efforts of the Rangers are thwarted by political manipulations and machination it will be an illogical end to the ‘march’ – like the inaction of the lame apex committees.
In contrast to the writer’s view, Bilawal Zardari has not been waiting for any break to launch his ‘style’ of politics. Does anyone know what the outlines are of his style of politics, including Bilawal himself? Would Bilawal be allowed to confront his father’s operatives and cronies within the PPP and is he strong enough to stand alone against them? Where is Bilawal going to find and induct ‘better leaders and cleaner stalwarts’ from? They just do not exist in the PPP.
