SBP, ZTBL continue winning streak in T20 Women Cricket
KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) continued to impress as they added to their wins on the fourth day of the 2nd Inter-Departmental T20 Women Cricket Championship 2019 at Diamond Club Ground, Islamabad, on Sunday.
In the first game of the day, SBP overwhelmed PCB XI by nine wickets. PCB XI were restricted to only 81-9. Rameen Shamim struck an unbeaten 17 off 14 balls. Kainat Hafeez scored 17 off 28 balls, hammering two fours. Aliya Riaz and Sadia Yousuf got two wickets each.
SBP chased the target in the 15th over for the loss of just one wicket. Ayesha Zafar scored 47 not out, having hammered five fours from 57 deliveries. Sidra Amin belted unbeaten 27 off 28 balls, striking three fours. Waheeda Akthar claimed 1-18.
In the other show of the day, ZTBL routed Higher Education Commission (HEC) by 76 runs. ZTBL posted 184-5 thanks to fine batting from Nahida Bibi (53) and Muneeba Ali (47). Nahida struck seven fours in her quick-fire 35-ball knock. Muneeba hammered five fours and two sixes in her 31-ball feat. Kainat Imtiaz also did well with bat, scoring unbeaten 45 off 30 balls. She hit three fours and one six in her fine innings. Diana Baig got 1-25.
HEC were folded for 108 in the 20th over with Tooba Hasan smashing a 33-ball 37, hammering two fours. Almas Akram and Maham Manzoor bowled with tight line and length, picking three wickets each.
