KARACHI: South African cricketer Rilee Rossouw is satisfied with the security arrangements made for the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final leg which is being held here at the National Stadium.
“I think the security is fantastic and top-notch,” Rossouw told reporters here during a practice session of the Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium here on Tuesday. He said Pakistan’s cricket was very competitive. “I think Pakistan cricket has definitely improved during the last five or six years. It has been fantastic. It’s a very strong competition,” the left-handed batsman said.
The 29-year-old Rossouw has represented South Africa in 36 One-day Internationals and 15 T20 Internationals. He said that Quetta Gladiators were ready for the playoff match against Peshawar Zalmi to be held here at the National Stadium on Wednesday (today).
“The boys are prepared for the game. We have beaten them in the past and hopefully we will continue,” he said.He said that the wickets of the UAE and Karachi were quite similar and the latter had a short boundary. “The wickets are fairly similar. The boundary is a bit smaller in Karachi. I think it is a good batting wicket as we have seen in the last two games. The boys are hitting a lot of boundaries and big sixes. If bowlers hit good areas then they can get good results. I think it’s a good cricketing wicket,” said Rossouw, who has scored 245 runs in ten matches in the PSL-4, averaging 30.62, the highest being 67 not out.
