Vehicular traffic in Islamabad is turning chaotic at a rapid pace. Reckless driving and gross violation of traffic laws have resulted in numerous fatal road accidents. In addition, a lack of traffic sign boards on the main roads has further aggravated the situation.
It seems that the CDA and the Islamabad traffic police concentrate only on the roads around the parliament building and don’t give much importance to other parts of the city. The authorities must look into the issues faced by daily commuters and take proper action to resolve them so that precious lives can be saved.
