BAHAWALPUR: The 35th national seminar was held under the aegis of the School of Politics of the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
Prof Dr Qaisar Mushtaq, Vice-Chancellor, Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur and President Pakistan Mathematical Society, participated in the seminar through videolink.
Faculty and students of the IUB Department of Mathematics also attended the seminar.
Hassan Qudratullah, School of Administrative Studies, York University, Toronto, Canada delivered an extensive lecture on the topic of decision making.
Pakistan Mathematical Society was established on June 26, 2001 and so far it has conducted almost 15 international moots.
This year the international moot on Algebra, Analysis and Geometry will be held from August 21st to 23 in Islamabad, that would be sponsored by a number of organizations including Pakistan Mathematical Society, Advanced Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Preston University Islamabad and the IUB.
QIRAT CONTEST HELD: The annual Qirat competition of girls and boys was held in the Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur on Thursday.
Hafiz Muhammad Nadeem got the first position, Sana Qasim and Waleed Arshad both got the second and Habiba Imran and Shazil both got the 3rd position in the contest.
