KARACHI: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore and Huawei Technologies Pakistan have signed an agreement giving UET the status of being a Huawei Authorised Network Academy (Hana), said a statement.
This enables UET to train engineering students for Huawei Certification programmes and get them Certified on Huawei products and technologies. Huawei has also provided UET with some state-of-the-art network equipment which will be used to give students hands-on experience on the latest industry equipment during their training programmes there.
UET Vice Chancellor Dr Fazal Ahmad said, “This ceremony will mark the further strengthening of an already strong relationship between industry and academia, and I would like to thank the guests from Huawei for considering UET as a partner in their Certification programme in Pakistan.”
