On the frontline

This refers to the news report, ‘Pakistan to defend Saudi Arabia’ (March 27). Our open involvement in the Middle East conflict will have some pretty serious repercussions. It can endanger our relations with Iran.
It is time to revisit our foreign policy in order to balance our position in the global political scenario. Pakistan has already suffered horrendously for being a frontline ally in the war against terrorism. We must take Iran into confidence before joining this adventure.
