PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended five sub-inspectors in Buner district for defective and faulty investigation and ordered departmental enquiry against them.
A citizen from Buner had submitted an application to the IGP in which he complained that Sub-Inspector (SI) Muhammad Zaman Khan the then SHO Police Station Chingaley, SI Noorul Anwar, SI Zahir Rahman, SI Malik Zada and SI Ajmal Khan deliberately conducted wrong enquiry in a murder case and falsely implicated an innocent citizen.
The police chief got checked these allegations/complaints of the citizen through investigation unit at the Central Police Office (CPO). The investigation unit termed all the allegations/complaints based on facts and submitted report to IGP.
The police chief in the light of the enquiry report of the investigation unit CPO suspended all five sub-inspectors with immediate effect.He directed the Regional Police Officer of Malakand to conduct departmental enquiry into the matter and submit a report to him.
