GUJRANWALA: Sadar circle police on Monday conducted a search operation and arrested 32 suspects.
The police raided and caught 32 suspects and shifted them to police stations for further investigation. The police also arrested 18 proclaimed offenders and 20 drug pushers and impounded 54 motorcycles for not having registration. The police also nabbed eight landlords and tenants for not submitting their particulars in their concerned police stations. The police also recovered illicit arms during the search operation.
INJURED RICKSHAW DRIVER DIES: A rickshaw driver who was injured over a domestic dispute few days ago died at a hospital in Lahore on Monday.
Shahid, son of Ramzan and a father of two children, was allegedly beat and injured by the sister of his brother’s wife Tahira and her alleged paramour Aziz with sticks at Kananiwala. He was shifted to a hospital in Lahore where he succumbed to injuries.
OLD WOMAN DIES: An old woman died after receiving head injury in her home at Khiali on Monday.
Mukhtaran Bibi, wife of George Mash, died of head injury when she fell in her washroom. Sources said that her daughter-in-law Shazia, wife of Faryad, allegedly pushed the old woman and she received head injury in the washroom, which caused her death. Khiali police have started investigation.
