Sikh Yatrees leave for India

LAHORE:The Sikh Yatrees after attending the Besakhi festival returned to their homeland on Saturday by special trains.
The first train with 650 Sikh Yatrees on board, left for India via Wagah border early in the morning, while a total of 1,730 pilgrims returned to India in three trains.
The Besakhi festival is a long established harvest festival in Punjab which is celebrated by Sikh community as a religious carnival on April 13 or 14 every year. The government had made special arrangements of security, medical and others to facilitate the Sikh Yatrees.
