The main problem that is being faced by the young generation of Pakistan is the dearth of jobs. Fresh graduates run from pillar to post to get hired in a reputable organisation that provides good salary packages and job security. Organisations that do have job vacancies prefer those candidates who have a powerful background. Merit, unfortunately, is not given due importance. Dejected by the rampant inequality, many young people may take drastic steps that can harm them.
Although the government has vowed to take steps to create job opportunities for recent graduates, nothing has been done to alleviate the suffering of people. Students work hard and make big sacrifices for their studies. But at the end of the day, they don’t get what they have worked so hard to achieve. The relevant authorities should introduce economic policies that create job opportunities for the unemployed.
