Swimming training camp for beginners inaugurated
LAHORE: Sports Board Punjab’s Swimming Training and Coaching Camp for Beginners has been inaugurated on the instructions of Secretary Sports Aamir Jan at State of the Art Punjab International Swimming Complex here on Friday. The camp will remain continue till May 15, 2018.
Director Sports Anees Sheikh inaugurated the elite swimming camp where as many as 45 young male and female swimmers were also present on this occasion.Deputy Director Hafeez Bhatti, SBP consultant Shahid Faqir, Manager Punjab International Swimming Complex Sohaib Gill and other top officials also attended the inaugural ceremony.
Talking to media, Director Sports Anees Sheikh said swimming training and coaching camp for beginners is very useful activity and we are quite hopeful that such programmes will help a lot in producing future sports stars. “Pakistan has no scarcity of potential in any field. The main objective of this training camp is to polish the talent of Punjab swimmers,” he opined.
Anees Sheikh said: “It’s not the first time Sports Board Punjab is arranging such a unique training camp. We have already organized several top class training and coaching camps in different games in the past and we will continue to hold such camps in future as well”. SBP consultant Shahid Faqir on this occasion said that top level swimming experts have been engaged to impart modern swimming techniques to young local swimmers. “That time is not far when Pakistan will have a bunch of world class swimmers through this kind of training and coaching camps,” he added.
