Easter preparations begin in Pakistan

LAHORE: Special prayers of fasting month and preparations for upcoming Easter were held here at Holy Trinity Church, Anarkali on the fourth Sunday of the fasting month.

The annual festival marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is the culmination of the 40-day lent season, a time of fasting, almsgiving, repentance and spiritual renewal. People from all over Lahore gathered at the Church and prayed for the prosperity of Pakistan.

Azhar Mushtaq, Pastor of the Church said, “Praying for God is not limited to one or two hours. A moment of true sincerity and love is enough to get the blessings of God. We feel blessed that we are born in Pakistan, God always has a better plan for everyone and we appreciate the government’s support towards Christian community.”
