Most of the private schools in our country lack experienced and trained teachers. An applicant who agrees on a low salary package is hired as a teacher. Around 60 percent of the teachers who are teaching in private schools do not have high school diplomas. Although the minimum qualification for a government teacher is B Ed, no such rules apply at private schools.
Since the fee is not affordable, their children remain deprived of a quality education. Many low-tier private schools neither have a computer lab nor a library. No counselling sessions are organised to address the problems faced by students. The relevant department must pay attention to these problems and take remedial measures to tackle these issues on an urgent basis.
